Museum Themed Wedding

Many a time, the guest find that they do not know the bride or groom...

... and what better way than a "museum exhibit" to showcase their love and who they are?

1. The Wedding Invite

Read about Dorian & Lynn's cool Wedding in the Museum here.

2. The Wedding Reception

At the reception, have a small display section with all the personal items special to the couple displayed in a mini-exhibit that showed how they met and their friendship and/or love developed.

The same can be done with the aperitif/ buffet table to share more about the food related likes and stories of the bride and groom.

3. The Table Centrepieces

How about adding pictures of the bride and groom at the age denoted by the table number? That definitely gives us personal touch in addition to giving an extra use to all the photos dug up for that 3 minute long video.

Art Pieces done at different ages are also great display items.

4. The Wedding Venue

Setting up the wedding in the museum (plus free-wedding museum passes) is definitely a go! in this theme. In Singapore, Maritime Experiential Museum is also home to Pokemon Centre - which will definitely entertain the children! National Museum, Arts House (near Asia Civilization Museum) and Lee Kong Chian Museum (with dinosaurs inside) are also great museum venues for a wedding.

5. Wedding Rings Made of Resin

Etheral rings made of wood and resin can certainly be considered "artifacts" enough to be used in this wedding theme!

5. Wedding Favours made of "food".

Wedding Fiction

9 Great Wedding Ideas for the Book Worms!

They can even make the theme follow a particular fiction or encyclopedia of their choice.

My fiance and I spent a lot of time in our school library together whilst we are getting to know each other. We still spend a lot of time reading a large assortment of e-books now. So I thought, why not a book-themed wedding? Here goes...

1. Library Theme Invite:

The card can be a book like the pictures above and the "save-the-date" be slot into the book.

There can even be a "bar-code" on the back or the bottom of the card so that when the book is "borrowed", the sitting location of the guest will be reflected on the computer screen! Alternatively, it can be used for the RSVP!

2. Photo Guestbook for people to write in:

Why keep two items when you can simply combine them into one?

Ideas for "Book" Themed Photos for the guest book...

3. Reading while waiting makes time flies...

Book Xchange...

...at the Wedding Reception Table stocked with food from books.

4. Thematic Reception Area...

Read here comfortably or...

...check out the cookbooks for the yummy food on display.

5. Turn the Program into Front Page News:

Introduce your entourage ... so people know whom to look for for the free parking ticket! ;)

A great introduction to the specially prepared food especially if the food are prepared by different chefs. Or just simply program - food - food - program - food - food...

6. Make walking down the aisle a 'fairy-tale':

Walk down the book page aisle runner to the book (arch/ case) whilst...

carrying flowering words of hope...

& exchanging the rings that has been carefully carried in a patiently carved out book!

Confetti time!

7. Book (s) Center-pieces!

Chapter numbers are great for the guest to determine the table numbers.

Having it folded in or carved out works too!

Or if you have lots of collectibles from different books...

8. The Perfect Wedding Cake for the avid readers:

Using Page Toppers or simply...

Aiming for that fairy tale start...

9. Reading Favours:

A book exchange is a great way to ensure wedding favours are useful wanted gifts and encourages reading.

Alternatively, simply go with faux books containing nuts and book worms!
