Breakfast Wedding

For all the early risers, what better backdrop than a sun rise can there be to greet a start in marriage life?

Changi Board Walk

Wow, the disagreements mounting from the potential guests is as loud as the music in clubbing. Pity that the final guest list is likely to be reduced to the few people that are the closest to you... ;)

Hint: The Singapore sun stretches its ray later in February. The sun rises the latest at 7.17am on February 9 to be specific according to NUS Associate Professor Helmer Aslaken. Link to the mathematics proof:  http://www.math.nus.edu.sg/aslaksen/calendar/sunrise.html

A Whimsical Wedding

My Whimsical Wedding

Every girl has a dream wedding...
... and here's mine.

~getting there~

Setting the backdrop of this wedding is this relatively clean and undeveloped beach on Lazarus Island (Singapore).

Imagine the tranquility that comes with such an unpopulated area. mmmm...

Guests arrive on chartered boats and upon disembarking they are welcome to a beautiful tentage...

rimmed with flowers...

and a "stage" against the trees with the following backdrop.

~the reception~

The reception table is adorned with rich clothe and wallpaper like the picture below.

Populating the table are the whimsical guest books,

the wedding cake (so people can adore it close-up and hopefully don't sneeze on it >.<)

and the wedding favours that can be used later to welcome the bride!

~getting into the mood~

Peppered around the perimeter of the tent would be photo opportunities from knee-height sand castles,

to photo booths with stunning backdrops. The stage, the sea, the palm trees and even the Singapore commercial skyline!

And if there is a concrete path and enough materials to build a platform, amusing chalk photo opportunities like those in the photo below will also be available!

To whet the appetite and heart, these delicious finger food...

Shrimp Tacos Bites

Potato Nests with Avocado and Smoked Salmon

Scooped Melons

...and refreshing Cocktails are to be served...

Fruit Pops in Champagne or Juice

Cotton Candy Champagne Cocktail
& Cotton Candy Sprite Mocktail,

...on "My Two Cents" Coasters! =>

to be collected and shared with the happy couple.

~i do~

Leading the wedding procession with James Bond music is our very own ...

Secret Service Ring Bearer

Secret Service Ring Bearer. ^^

After he whispers the password to the groom, *laughs*
the music changes to a sentimental one...

Step by step, the flower girl colours the wind with her flower petals while the bride entrances the groom.

The bridesmaids join in mid-procession and, together with the guests, they add their subtle touches with the bubble wedding favours.

When the bride reaches the stage, the music pauses...

... and the groom kisses the bride. ^^

The wedding vows and rings are then exchanged...

in a unity ceremony.

As the ceremony draws to a close, the guests are invited to hold their balloons,

Table-Setting
Napkin the balloon is attached to.

make a wish for the bride and groom and then let the balloons fly up to the sky.

How nice. A Perfect Picture Opportunity. ^^

~the dinner~
The chilled appertif:
Sashimi and Shrimp Platter

The DIY main:
Shabu-Shabu

Grill

The warm fondant:
Chocolate Fondue

~sweetening the icing~

The wedding couple is invited to cut the wedding cake...

... and delight the guests.

Here's a dessert made specially for the blushing bride who has just married her prince...

and the milo, coffee or tea for the guests who opt for it.

~the send-off~

This is one bridal bouquet toss that would have the married people clamoring for...

Lollipop Flower Bouquet

& for one last seriously radiant photo, light up those sparkler wedding favours!

These sparklers would be located at the reception table.

~honeymooning~

I hope you have had a great time visualizing my dream wedding too!

If you are getting married soon, here's my Congratulations!
